Ugia Pedreira is the headmaster of aCentral Folque (Galician Center of Popular Music).

She’s one of the most transgressive voices of the galician music and an opinion creator in constant movement. She was famous for her three albums with chouteira and for the collaborations in heterogeneous creations: the musical “Dilhei”, the Antón Reixa’s show “Galicia beibe” with Amparanoia and Kaki Arkarazo, “Son delas” with Uxía and Mercedes Peón, “Cantos na Maré” with Dulce Pontes, Amelia Muge. She has created sonore spaces for the Centro Dramático Galego and Factoría Teatro.

She has recorded “Gracias a la vida” with the italian ska band “Banda Basotti”, and has collaborated with different rock bands in Galicia such as Xenreira, Nen@s da revolta, A matraca perversa and Galegoz.

In 2006 she recorded “Nordestin@s” with Guadi Galego and Abe Rábade.
